The State of Ohio now requires that ALL coaches complete a free concussion training course, which can be accessed HERE . A "Certificate of Completion" from any of the three free online trainings that have been approved by ODH for coaches needs to be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org the Friday before any scheduled event to be eligible to coach.
Click HERE for more information. A Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) occurs when the heart suddenly and unexpectedly stops beating, cutting off blood flow to the brain and other vital organs. Sudden cardiac arrest is fatal if not treated immediately, most often by a defibrillator. Lindsay’s Law, Ohio Revised Code 3313.5310, 3707.58 and 3707.59 went into effect in 2017.

We are offering this year an option for everyone to be able to do Fast Pass, an early weigh in option like other Major tournaments do. This is an option for those wanting to get it done & out of the way. We will still have Open weigh ins for everyone. We just want to give everyone more options.

1. How much does it cost to get into the tournament?
Admission is $15 for adults, Children 10 and under are $5. Coach’s bands/floor access is $20, in addition to the cost of admission.
2. How can I save some money?
By volunteering to work a table, you will get free admission, free coach’s band/floor access, access to the staff hospitality room and an ohway staff shirt. Contact Jamie Keaton at email@example.com for more information.
3. When will alternates be notified if they qualified for the tournament?
Please check the email that you provided during preregistration for regionals. If you did not preregister, please confirm your interest on the website www.ohiowaywrestling.com and you will be notified by phone or email. You can also send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
4. When will brackets be posted?
Brackets for D3, D4, and girls will be posted Friday night after weigh ins are complete. We will be available at the Coliseum Saturday morning from 8-9 am ONLY for corrections. Final brackets will be posted at 9 am with NO CHANGES after that time. The same schedule will be in place for D1 and D2 on Sunday and Jr High/High School the following weekend.
5. What time are weigh ins?
Weigh ins are Friday and Saturday from 6-8 pm. This year we are also offering an optional fast pass weigh in from 12-1 on Friday and Saturday. The fast pass weigh in will cost $10, payable at weigh ins only. There will be NO MORNING WEIGH INS.
6. Can my D1 or D2 wrestler weigh in on Friday?
All weigh ins are open to all divisions for the weekend that they are wrestling.
7. Can my wrestler move to a different weight class than what they wrestled at regionals?
No, wrestlers can only wrestle at the weight at which they qualified. No exceptions.
8. Is there a weight allowance?
There is a 1 lb weight allowance. If your wrestler qualified at D1 49lbs, they can weigh up to 50.0 lbs.
9. If my wrestler does not make weight, can they reweigh?
Wrestlers can reweigh as many times as they would like until the close of weigh ins.
