Yes.....WE KNOW that Baughman defeated the freshman sensation, Mitch Moore, in mid-January.  

BUT!  And there's a but in this case, it was in Baughman's home gymnasium at the Grizzy Invitational, and was a one point, low scoring match.  Baughman did not place at the Walsh Ironman where Moore dominated the field. Baughman also defeated another freshman phenom in Mattox in at North Canton to edge him to #2 here.  

Hart has been the most steadily improved 113 in the field of the season but dropped a 2-0 match last weekend to another stellar freshman in Tommy Hoskins.  

Mark it down......Mitch will find himself a four-time state champion in 2018, barring bad luck or injury.  Baughman will have more then his hands full fending off the likes of Kearney, Hart, and Mattox among others.  Do not be surprised if three freshman walked away with all three 113lb state titles this year, but again, betting against Baughman just isn't a smart bet.
